AI Transparency Policy
Where AI is used in our products, what it does, and what it does not do.
Where AI is used
AI is used in one place: the study-help feature inside VirtualX, which answers questions about a specific lesson.
How it is grounded
Answers are drawn from the material of the lesson the learner has open, and the source is shown with the answer. When a question goes beyond that lesson, the feature says so rather than answering from general knowledge.
What it is not
It does not generate lessons, set assessments, mark work, adapt a learning path, or make any decision about a learner.
Inputs
A learner may send text, a photograph or screenshot, or a document. There is no voice or video input.
Retention
Study-help conversations and any attachments are held for the duration of the conversation and are not retained afterwards.
Human responsibility
AI output is a study aid, not a teacher and not an authority. Learners should check it against their lesson and their teacher.
